2027 Rosters to be Posted
1- Kelowna Krushers (112.0)

Kelowna is back to their old habits of trying to have their division pretty much wrapped up by the end of May. A ridiculous 18-1 streak put them on the path do doing just that before a game Hinkson Creek took 2 of 3 to remind them that at least one other team isn’t going to let them break free just yet.  Interestingly, the Krushers catchers are the only ones in the league who have yet to throw out a base stealer.

2- Hespeler Shamrocks (102.0)

Hespeler stumbled a little out of the gate but seem to be hitting their stride. The offense has carried them early, but their pitching staff has been middle of the pack thus far and needs to show some improvement before they can be considered the heavyweight team in the Anderson Division

3- Hilo Kitties (95.5)

The pitching has been fantastic in Hilo this season and has been accompanied by a defense that is locking things down completely by making only ten errors through the first 35 games. They've already racked up ten shutouts this season which has been needed to counter their near struggling offense and 135 games already being lost to injuries.

4- Pullman Cougs (95.0)

The Cougs have finally got some pitching to go along with their stellar offense. A sweep t the hands of the Pilots kept them humbled but once Judge and Raleigh start teeing off at a much greater rate than they have been so far, the top of the division will likely be in reach.

5- Wilmore Mammoth (86.5)

It looked like Wilmore forgot when opening day was as the team didn't really show up the first three days based on the results. Since then, they’ve put up huge numbers offensively. The only thing that can stop them at this point is their gaudy pitching numbers that aren’t helped by the circus show they’re displaying defensively.

6- Kitchener Destroying Angels (74.5)

For three seasons the Kitchener Destroying Angels were practically unbeatable at home, and with 27 of their first 42 game at home, they were expected to get off to a monstrous start. That hasn’t happened. While they are 16-11, that’s a far cry from the team that lost just 28 games at home last season, and 39 in the two previous seasons combined before that.

7- Hinkson Creek Mules (69.5)

The Mules held their own against Kelowna this week and have managed to put together a strong start. The offense is still below average and while the pitching and defense have been okay, they’re not overwhelming. The Mules could keep up their strong start but could just as easily collapse in May.

8- Moncton Mudhens (69.0)

It’s been the usual pedestrian start for the Mudhens which is actually a bit of a surprise since the team indicated it would be a retooling year. Moncton has put up some solid offensive numbers and could very easily be a trade or two away from becoming an instant contender. Perhaps picking up a guy that could field a ground ball would help.

9- Broad Street Bullies (67.0)

Our highest non-manager team has shown signs of solid play followed by signs of mediocrity. While the pitching is currently near the top of the league, the offense has almost bottomed out leaving them in a completely unpredictable phase. This will probably continue for most of the season.  Where would this team be without Martin Perez and Luis Severino's strong starts?

10- Toronto Brewers (66.5)

Another team that was supposed to be in a retooling phase, the Brewers have hung in there largely in part due to their strong pitching. That’s even with three starters making prolonged trips to the D.L already this season. Reinforcements are coming, but if their 20th ranked offense doesn’t improve, it won’t matter much.

11- Seattle Pilots (63.5)

I’ll take flack for this from Seatle management, but don’t be deceived by the team’s current win/loss record. 23-19 may look impressive, but that -26-run differential is a much more telling statistic. The offense has managed to hide the early season pitching woes as has the surprising 9-9 record against .500 or better teams.

12- Melonville Marauders (58.5)

The defense has helped make the pitching staff look better than they are. The team got off to a strong start to the season before players started realizing they had no manager directing the team. They’ll probably have a couple of spurts that will make them look like world beaters before settling back in below .500.

13- Boogertown Trash Pandas (58.5)

Like Toronto, the Trash Panda’s have relied heavily on their pitching staff to overcome their offensive deficiencies. Almost every hitter appears to be underachieving at this point and while they managed to string together a win streak this week, that will only help to keep them ahead of the bottom feeders. Their 6-12 record vs .500 or better teams is what put them below Melonville (10-11)

14- Buchans Miners (43.0)

Buchans management continues to make changes to the teams batting orders hoping it will turn things around for the better. The problem is that the team’s offense hasn't been the problem.  Their struggles relate more to the lousy pitching they been receiving from their starting staff. Throw in their poor defense, and the losses are piling up.

15- Mount Pearl Rush (41.0)

Management threw a tantrum in the preseason and then quietly walked away without having the maturity to inform the league. And you all criticized Brad for requesting him to do so if he was walking away.  Injuries, and the complete abandoning have caused the Rush to fall from last season’s feel-good momentum into the pits of dispair.

16- Chicago Devils (39.5)

The Devils got torched so badly at the beginning of the season that even their recent strong play hasn't been enough to move them out of the bottom five in the rankings.  The 0-7 start by Yu Darvish is a big factor in why the team hasn't been able to turn things around more quickly and while the team ERA is just under 4.00 (3.99), it will need to keep improving if Chicago wants to live up to certain individuals lofty expectations.

17- Guelph Huskies (38.0)

Despite pitching in a supposedly friendly pitchers park, the Husky pitching staff is giving up long balls like they're pitching in Coors Field.  While the offense is doing everything it can to keep the team afloat, the rotation has been abysmal to start the year.  If anyone can explain Logan Webb's 7 homeruns against in 8 starts this season despite giving up just 14 in 34 MLB starts, you just might be a genius.

18- Bonavista Bay Tigers (36.5)

Remember back in July when the Tigers looked like they were going to have a pitching staff we could all only dream of?  Well, it's ranked second last so far this season and has been getting hammered on a daily basis. Throw in the struggling .982 fielding percentage and the pitchers aren't getting any help from anyone.

19- Pyongyang Red Star (26.0)

The people rejoice in Pyongyang as the Red Star hit the first rankings of the season not in last place.  The Red Star haven't been great, but they haven't been getting blown out of the park either.  That could change as the season progresses, but for now, the team is holding it's own and getting some strong pitching from Carlos Rodon to help out.

20- Saskatoon Sasquatches (18.0)

Yikes!  The only thing more startling than the teams 13-29 start to the season is the 20 passed balls given up by their catchers in just 43 games.  We haven't seen that kind of incompetence since Jorge Posada's disastrous season in Chicago.  Just as bad, 29 of 32 base stealers have been successful.  Much of that is why the pitching has struggled to be consistent.  Don't worry though, the rest of the defense has been just as bad as it's ranked dead last in the league.
